Sweetwater Farm

Wow! What a fun photo shoot this turned out to be. Rebecca wanted to do something different for her bridal portrait. She told me about some friends of hers that had a really unique farm out near Waynesboro, GA. This place was amazing! I don’t even think the photos do justice to how cool it was. Let’s just say that I had more than a few bears staring at me throughout the shoot. Anyway, I’m really looking forward to shooting Rebecca’s wedding which is coming up in a few weeks. rzblogrzblog4rzblog5rzblog3

Congratulations, Meyer and Heather!

Meyer and Heather were married at Sacred Heart in Augusta recently.  Their adorable children, Madelyn and Isabelle made their wedding all the more fun to shoot. What a great family! schwartzblog1schwartzblog2schwartzblog3blog4blog1blog2

The Lee Family

Here are some photos of my ADORABLE cousins, Elizabeth and Christian. I was in Atlanta a couple weeks back, having a very friendly shoot out with my cousin, Jay until his camera took a tumble down some very hard stairs. Amazingly enough, it survived.  (the camera did anyway. not sure about jay. julie, his wife, looked pretty mad… did ya get that lens filter yet, jay?) elchasechase1leeblogelleefamily

Welcome to my new blog!

Not another one! Yep,  sorry folks. This blog is dedicated to all of my photography that is not related to my work at The Augusta Chronicle, including weddings, engagements, maternity, my dog, etc. I will try to be better at updating this one. Thanks for looking!

Carol and Travis Wedding

I thought that I would begin this blog with a wedding I photographed a few weeks back in the beautiful mountains of Cashiers,  North Carolina. I was very much looking forward to this wedding because Carol, the bride, just so happens to be a friend of mine that I reconnected with after moving to Georgia. I met Carol while I was on a study abroad trip, called Semester at Sea, back in 1996. Carol, unfortunately got stuck with me for a roommate- the crazy Yankee who was fascinated by the notion of meeting someone who said “y’all”. (I mean forget all of the foreign countries we were visiting- I had a roommate from Atlanta!) I feel so fortunate that I had the opportunity to document Carol and Travis’ amazing day 13 years later. It was such a beautiful wedding!dress

Meet Sophia!

My cousins Dave and Meredith were nice enough to allow me to do some photo experimenting with their first baby, Sophia. I’ve never photographed a newborn baby before yesterday and I have to say, I enjoyed it! She is a little over two weeks old and absolutely precious! (Here is a sneak peek, kids. I will post the gallery online soon)sophiablog2copy
