I always offer complimentary engagement sessions with my wedding packages, because I’m always hoping that my couples take advantage of this great opportunity to capture these memories before the busy-ness of the wedding day.
So today, I wanted to share my top 5 reasons for loving Engagement Sessions:
My main reason is to get to know you and for you to get to know me. It’s good to figure out a working relationship as well as to get used to each other before I start following you around on one of the biggest days of your life!
It’s good practice. Most people aren’t used to being photographed, so we have the chance during these sessions to figure out your style.
It’s a chance to get stress-free photos. We have more time during engagement shoots than we do on the wedding day, so it’s a chance to get some relaxed pictures in of just the two of you.
It’s a good way for me to learn about your interests and your relationship. Often, I try to shoot at a place that is special to you as a couple, such as where you had your first date or where the proposal happened—or even at your home.
You can use the engagement shots for your save-the-dates later on. These pictures look great as guest books or decorations at a shower or the wedding itself!
