Intimate Wedding Venues| Boston Wedding Photographer

Intimate weddings are becoming increasingly popular, and many couples are seeking smaller, cozy venues to celebrate their special day with close family and friends. They offer a unique charm, fostering a warm and personal atmosphere that larger venues often lack. Here are some of my favorite cozy venues outside of the Boston area. They offer both indoor and outdoor space and lots of opportunities to get great photos that are unique to your day.

The Herb Lyceum is a quaint wedding venue located in Groton, MA. This venue is perfect for couples who are looking for a unique space nestled on four acres of farm which consists of greenhouses, herb gardens, trees, and a renovated 19th century carriage house. I photographed this wedding in late September and was excited there were so many options for photos around the grounds. The small ceremony took place adjacent to the carriage house- it was perfect for a small crowd of friends and family.

The Holliston Historical Society is another favorite of mine. It’s located in the quaint town of Holliston MA, about 45 minutes west of Boston. Typically, the ceremony takes place on the beautiful grounds outside and the celebrations are held in the historic barn. It is a perfect venue for weddings that are on the smaller side. I love that the Asa Whiting house is also available as a backdrop for photos.

Friendly Crossways is a rustic chic wedding venue located near the quiet town of Harvard, MA about 30 miles from Boston. Guests can also stay in their renovated New England barn. The grounds are beautiful and again, I was welcomed with so many options for photos.
