Suzie and Rich were married at Sandy Island Camp on Lake Winnipesaukee.
On the day of the wedding, my second shooter, Rich Beauchese, and I hopped on a boat and took a 15-minute ride on the lake out to Sandy Island Camp. It was a beautiful fall day, so the ride was quite enjoyable!
Our wedding planner extraordinaire, Beth Rolfe of Fetching Events, met us as we got off the boat to give us the lay of the land and to take me over to meet up with Suzie while she was getting ready in her cabin. Rich went to meet up with the “other” Rich (the groom) at his cabin, too.
Rich and Suzie met up for their “first look,” and they were both so excited to see one another for the first time! We spent some time taking photos around the camp and then headed off to the gorgeous ceremony overlooking the lake.
I think one of my favorite images from this wedding took place right before dark. The wedding was the night before the supermoon, and I loved the image of the two of them off in the distance with the moon framed behind them.
The whole day was filled with emotion—so much laughter and lots of happy tears. Suzie and Rich are super fun people, and they surround themselves with more fun people! They couldn’t stop smiling, the guests couldn’t stop smiling, and I pretty much had a perma-grin on my face during the entire wedding.
But there were also moments just fraught with tearful joy. I know I speak for everyone when I say I had to hold back a few tears when Suzie danced with her brothers—there wasn’t a dry eye in the place!
Thank you, Suzie & Rich, for allowing me to be part of your day! I hope that you continue to move through life laughing the way you do—you two are just so amazing!
