Breast Cancer Research | BU Today

We recently did a series on Breast Cancer research for BU Today. I photographed various researchers in their environments and these were a few of my favorites. Here is a link to the series: http://www.bu.edu/today/breast-cancer-research/

Dr. Hui Feng, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Medicine, Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology, poses for a photo in the Laboratory of Zebrafish Genetics and Cancer Therapeutics at BU School of Medicine on Friday, March 24, 2017. Her research focuses on identifying new genes and pathways that relate to how tumors begin growing and spread throughout the body.

(left to right) Engineering graduate students Fei Teng (ENG 18) Kavon Karrobi (ENG 19) and Syeda Tabassum (ENG 18)  are part of Darren Roblyer’s team who is is developing and testing new, non-invasive optical sensors that can monitor how well a cancer patient is responding to chemotherapy.

Dr. Tracy Battaglia and Dr. Naomi Ko are researching and refining a system to make sure medically underserved women are guided through cancer diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and follow-up.
